Fast neutrons produced by bombarding a beryllium target with 40 MeV helium-3 ions

Description
Reports on measurements made with a neutron beam produced by bombarding a beryllium target with 40 MeV 3He ions. The estimated neutron dose is compared with other methods of producing neutron beams. Increased penetration is useful in radiotherapy.
