Coordination chemistry of niobium pentahalogenides in nonaqueous solutions

Description
The investigations on niobium pentahalogenide complexes with organic and inorganic ligands published up to 1977 are reviewed. Physicochemical characteristics of niobium pentahalogenides (cell structure, interatomic distance, atom chemical bonds, electric conductivity, stability, solubility in organic media) are given. Niobium pentahalogenide complexes with oxygen-containing ligands (ethers, dioxan, carboxylic esters, ketones, spirits), niobium complexes with sulfur- and nitrogen-containing ligands are considered. The attention is drawn to niobium complexes with inorganic ligands in nonaqueous solutions
