Synopsis of the results of a test of a reinforced concrete containment

Description

Sandia National Laboratories completed the testing of a 1:6-scale containment building for a Light Water Reactor in July 1987. The containment building was made of reinforced concrete and had many of the features found in full-size containments. The test program consisted of a structural integrity test, and integrated leak rate test, and concluded with an over pressurization test of the structure. The subject paper will emphasize the overpressurization test of the containment model
