Magnetic state of austenite and (γ → α)-transformation in Fe-Ni alloys

Description
Considered are the results of the investigations of Fe-Ni alloys with respect to the relationship between the (γ → α)-transformation and the magnetic ordering in austenite. The dilatometric and the X-ray diffraction techniques were employed. The investigations have indicated that the magnetic rearrangement of austenite in Fe-Ni alloys stabilizes the (γ → α)-transformation. The change in the morphology of the resultant martensive when rising nickel content is determined mainly by the variation of the anisotropy of force fields of interaction at a predetermined concentration of nickel
