On the reduced ionization potentials as calculation parameters of the superconducting transition temperature of chemical compounds
Creators
Description
Carbides and nitrides of transition metals have been used to show the inverse linear relationship between the reduced ionization potentials I2 and (G2) and N(0)(G2), where (G2) - matrix element square of electron-photon interaction averaged over Fermi surface, N(O) - density of electron states on Fermi surface. The connection between I2 and (G2) and N(0)(G2) values shows physical reasons for applying the reduced ionization potentials in the equation for calculating superconducting transition temperatures of various materials and proves the idea that such an important factor of a superconductor as superconducting transition temperature is exclusively determined by local, atomic parameters of a metal
