Crystallization of heavy inert gases implanted in metal

Creators

Description

A system of new phenomena observed under bombardment of metals by heavy inert gas ions (Ar, Kr, Xe), namely: inclusions formation, their crystallization, melting and accompanying abnormal thermal desorption, is studied. It is stated that all of them are related to the availability of complexes, consisting of interacting heavy inert gas atoms and vacancies in a metal. A model of one of phase transformations in the irradiated metal layer is proposed
