Developing fatigue design data for incoloy 800H at temperatures above 7600C
- 1. Internationale Atomreaktorbau G.m.b.H. (INTERATOM), Bergisch Gladbach (Germany, F.R.)
Description
The development of HTGR for service temperatures up to 9500C requires new materials as well as extending the existing design rules. An extended programme of fatigue and creep-fatigue interaction tests have been performed with Incoloy 800 H at 8500C. The evaluation of the data followed the rules of Code Case N 47. Design curves for inelastic and elastic analysis are suggested. Furthermore the effects which have to be considered when evaluating creep-fatigue data at very high temperatures are discussed.
