Fluorine-18 fluoroalkyl derivatives of carazalol: Potential ligands for the in vivo studies of the β-adrenergic receptor

  • 1. Univ. of Texas, Houston (United States)

Description

Carazalol is an antagonist for the beta-adrenergic receptor and has one of the highest association constants known for the receptor. Fluorine-18 labelled carazalol would be useful in PET studies, so the authors have synthesized a series of alkyl carazalol derivatives which the authors have subsequently radiofluorinated. In vitro and in vivo studies of these derivatives are underway
