Inorganic ion exchangers. Application to liquid effluent processing

Description

Main inorganic ion exchangers used for radioactive liquid effluents presented in this report are: synthetic and natural zeolites, in titanium oxides, titanates, niobates, tantalates, zirconates, some insoluble salts of zirconium, molybdenum and tin, heteropolyacids and polyantimonic acid. Properties of these ion exchangers are described: structure, adsoption, radiation effects and thermal stability, application to waste processing, radioactive waste storage uranium and cesium 137 recovery are evoked

Abstract (French)

Ce rapport presente les principaux echangeurs mineraux utilises pour le traitement des effluents liquides actifs, a savoir: les zeolites (naturelles et synthetiques), les oxydes de titane et titanates, niobates, tantalates, zirconates, certains sels insolubles de metaux (zirconium, molybdene, etain), les heteropolyacides et l'acide polyantimonique. Les proprietes de ces differents types d'echangeurs sont decrites: structure, adsorption, stabilite thermique et aux rayonnements, ainsi que le traitement des effluents, le stockage des dechets, la recuperation de cesium 137 et d'uranium
