The production of antimatter in our galactic backyard

Description

We estimate the production of anti-nuclei by collisions of cosmic rays on the interstellar gas. A simple coalescence model is fitted on existing p-p collider data and used to source the anti-deuterium and anti-helium fluxes, which are then propagated through the galactic magnetic fields before reaching us. We compare the resulting fluxes with current and future experimental limits, as well as possible exotic signals like anti-stars or dark matter annihilation in the halo. (author)
