A review of available collision strength data for the boron isoelectronic sequence (Z = 5 to 28)
- 1. Pennsylvania State Univ., Univeristy Park, PA (United States)
- 2. Los Alamos National Lab., NM (United States)
Description
A review is given of the available data on collision strengths and effective, or Maxwellian-averaged, collision strengths for neutral boron and all boron-like ions up to and including boron-like nickel. When sufficient collision strength data are available for the determination of two or more sets of effective collision strengths γ for the same ion by different authors, comparison graphs of γ versus the logarithm of the electron temperature T(K) are given. 40 refs., 20 figs., 1 tab
