Two-dimensional position-sensitive detector as an device for shadow effect measurement
Description
Application of two-dimensional detectors for determination of nuclear reaction life time is described. Measurements have been conducted on a proton beam of the INR linear accelerator in Swierk. Silicon monocrystals have been used as targets. Detector test and its calibration have been exercised by means of ThB α-source. It is shown that two-dimensional position-sensitive detector can be applied for observation of bracking schemes in monocrystals and, particularly, it can be used for measuring lifetime of the reactions in which light particles such as protons, deutrons or α-particles are emitted
