Loop type FBR type reactor

Description

Purpose: To enable to cool the reactor inlet pipeways and the walls of the reactor container during usual operation, as well as secure a liquid level required for the removal of after-heat in the reactor core in case if destructions occur in the primary coolant circuit pipeways and the likes. Constitution: Coolants in the reactor inlet pipeways are partially introduced to the shielding cylinder for the reactor inlet pipeways, which are used for the cooling of reactor inlet pipeways during usual operation, while used, on the other hand, for the cooling of the wall surface of the reactor vessel by supplying the coolants to the reactor wall cooling bath. In case if pipeway destructions or the like occurs in the primary main coolant circuit to reduce the liquid level, issue of the coolant is interrupted by the generation of siphon break from the opening disposed to the reactor inlet pipeway and the exit nozzle of the reactor exit pipeway to keep the liquid level above the primary inlet window of an intermediate heat exchanger in the reactor core cooling system.
