Saturne II synchroton injector parameters operation and control: computerization and optimization

Description

The injector control system has been studied, aiming at the beam quality improvement, the increasing of the versatility, and a better machine availability. It has been choosen to realize the three following functions: - acquisition of the principal parameters of the process, so as to control them quickly and to be warned if one of them is wrong (monitoring); - the control of those parameters, one by one or by families (starting, operating point); - the research of an optimal control (on a model or on the process itself)

Abstract (French)

Le systeme de conduite de l'injecteur a ete etudie pour repondre aux objectifs fixes: amelioration de la qualite des faisceaux, accroissement de la souplesse d'utilisation, meilleure disponibilite de la machine. Pour repondre au probleme pose, il a ete mis en oeuvre un ensemble permettant: - l'acquisition des parametres principaux du processus de maniere a pouvoir les controler rapidement et a etre averti si l'un d'eux est errone (surveillance) - la commande de ces parametres un par un ou par familles (demarrages, changements de point de fonctionnement); - la recherche d'une commande optimale (sur un modele ou sur le processus lui-meme)
