Description
Principles of the theory of particle motion in accelerators electron optics and controlled thermonuclear fusion are elucidated. Charged particle motion in homogeneous electric and magnetic fields is considered. Motion of charged particles in asymmetrical magnetic fields capable of assuring strong focusing is investigated. Considered is the phase stability of the orbits which plays an essential role if a particle moves in the electromagnetic wave field. The behaviour of particle beams in electron optics is studied. A matrix method for calculation of electron-optical systems is set forth. Adiabatic approximation in solving equations of particle motion in a permanent magnetic alternating magnetic and electric fields and in the field of electromagnetic wave is considered. Methods for determination of integrals of drift equations are considered
