Calix[4]resorcinarenes with alkyl phosphonic fragments: protolytic properties and reaction with lanthanum(III)

Description
Protolytic and complexing properties of phosphorylated calix[4]resorcinarene derivatives are studied by pH-metric titration at 298 K in a water-alcoholic solution [80 vol. % (CH3)2CHOH]. Equilibrium constants of reactions between the calixarenes and lanthanum(III) and the stability constants of the some complexes are estimated. Possible coordination types of calix[4]resorcinarenes are discussed. Depending on the solution acidity, competition between the phosphonic group and phenolate ions is observed, viz., rearrangement of complexes is possible with a transfer from lanthanum(III) coordination by phosphonic groups to coordination by phenolic ones
Abstract (Russian)
В водно-спиртовом растворе [80 об% (СН3)2СНОН] методом рН-метрического титрования при 298 К исследованы протолитические и комплексообразующие свойства фосфорилированных производных каликс[4]резорцинаренов. Вычислены константы равновесий реакций комплексообразования изучаемых каликсаренов с лантаном(III), в отдельных случаях - константы устойчивости комплексов. Обсуждаются возможные способы координации каликс[4]резорцинаренов. В зависимости от кислотности среды наблюдается конкуренция между фосфоновой группой и фенолят-ионами и возможна перестройка комплексов с переходом от координации лантана(III) фосфоновыми группами к координации фенольнымиAdditional details
