Soft X-ray detectors for the spectral and spatial scanning double crystal monochromators KS1 and KS2 at JET
Description
We describe the large area multiwire proportional counters used as detectors with the soft X-ray double crystal monochromators at JET. These detectors work in the energy range from 0.54 keV to 11.3 keV with their main features being efficient rejection of background radiation and a high count rate capability of 107 photons/s.
