Device for sample change in a liquid scintillation counter
Description
A device for sample change in a liquid scintillation counter is described. It includes a measurement chamber with photoelectron multipliers surrounded with a protective casing and having a hole in a bottom part. In comparison with the known one the proposed construction of the device for the change of samples in a liquid scintillation counter permits to decrease its dimensions in height in 2 times with the decrease of the general background of the device about 10%. It allows to create small-sized transportable instruments to find out and record nuclear irradiation with measurement characteristics which are not inferior to characteristics of modern stationary devices
