Measurement of g-factors for the 8→7 F2(2)P(7)v3 transition in methane

Description
Line profiles of nonlinear resonances on the components of the recoil doublet of the 8→7 F2(2)P(7)v3 transition in methane are investigated. The ground-state g-factor and the difference of g-factors of the upper and lower levels are measured to be |0.95|±0.03 and |0.09|±0.04, respectively. The experimental results agree with the calculations carried out in the approximation of the spin-orbit coupling. 6 refs., 2 figs
