Method for continuous registration of linear spectrometric circuit alive time
Description
A method for continuous registration of the alive time of linear spectrometric circuit in regime of pulse counting is developed for measuring gamma spectra in neutron resonances. The neutron energy in these measurements is determined by the time-of-flight method. The alive time of the circuit is registrated by means of pulses of a periodic generator with stable amplitude which receive an additional status bit in ADC. The information on amplitude of the detector pulse and on time of flight of each event is recorded on the magnetic tape. The time of flight spectrum of generator pulses is obtained when scanning information by additional status bit. The analysis of this spectrum permits to introduce corrections on the alive time of spectrometric circuit
