Dislocation damping in fcc LaAl2
Description
We have observed large peaks in the ultrasonic attenuation of a pure and two doped LaAl2 crystals in the temperature region of about 45 K which are possibly of the Bordoni type. Their most interesting characteristics are: (a) There is only one peak in each sample. (b) The peaks are so narrow that they can be described by the original Seeger model with only one actication energy and one attempt frequency. (orig.)
