Synergism in hexavalent uranium extraction with mixtures of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoylpyrazolone-5 and some donor-active substances

Description

U(6) extraction in the systems 0.1 mol/l HNO3-1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoylpyrazolone-5-tributyl phosphate (or trioctylphosphine oxide-benzene, or cyclohexane) is investigated. A considerable synergism is detected, the regions of its maximum manifestation are clarified. The composition of the compounds extracted is determined, the constants of uranium extraction in the systems PMBR-TBP being calculated. The comparison of the results on synergistic extraction of uranium with previously obtained results on Am (3) extraction in the same systems has shown that the maximum values of synergistic effect for the elements are manifested in different regions of the reagent concentrations. These two cases are the examples of a possibility of synergism use to improve the element separation
