On thermodynamical theory of γ-α transformation in strong magnetic field
Description
An expression for shifting the temperature of phase equilibrium To in strong magnetic fields, marking allowance for the change in heterogeneous magnetic structure of austenitic phase of iron alloys, was obtained in the framework of thermodynamic theory of primary phase transitions. The allowance results in the appearance of three additional summats in the Krivoglaz-Sadovsky formula related to the change in magnetization, exchange energy and volume of γ-phase in magnetic field. The available experimental data on nickel steels are discussed on the basis of the theory developed
