Motion of charged particles in cusped geometry
Description
Behaviors of charged particles injected from the entrance cusp are studied using Norton's field. Regions in which the orbits of particles exist are easily determined using various initial conditions at cusp throat. Detailed loci of particles have been obtained using an electronic computer 'NEAC 2203'. Orbits near at point and line cusps been worked out approximately and these agree closely with the calculated ones. (author)
