Physics simulations for KM3NeT
Description
KM3NeT is a future research facility in the Mediterranean Sea which will include a cubic-kilometre-scale high-energy neutrino telescope. During the Design Study, detector optimisation studies have been pursued in conjunction with technical developments. The KM3NeT consortium is now in the phase of completing a Technical Design Report. We will review recent results obtained in optimising the geometrical layout of the detector, and describe the physics simulations performed as well as the methods employed for these optimisations.
