Description
A study was made on structure of sediments, formed during acidification of sodium and potassium decavanadate solutions, known as ''hydrated pentoxide''. It was shown by correlation of infrared spectra of potassium and sodium trivanadates and ''hydrated pentoxide'' of the same cations, as well as by experiments on ion exchange, that the latters represent polymer compounds of disordered laminated structure, which are capable to turn into trivanadate compounds of ordered structure under favorable conditions
