An Iterative Solution of the Reactor Kinetic Equations for the Rod Drop and Source Jerk Experiments. Dragon Project Report

Description

This paper, which is based on an article to be published in Nukleonik, deals with a solution of the reactor kinetic equations which is suitable for application to both the rod drop and source jerk methods for the determination of control element worths. Since the same method of solution can be applied with only minor modifications to both experiments, the mathematical derivation is given in detail for the rod drop case only, and the modification necessary for the source jerk method is considered separately. No account is taken of the effects of spatial flux variation. (author)
