Charter for a shared energy. Which methanisation projects?

Description

After an overview of the specific characteristics of energy production by methanisation (biogas production related to agriculture and to waste management, biogas valorisation by different ways, a diversified technology offer, possibility of evolution of units in time), this publication proposes a methodological approach to a project development. This comprises governance criteria specific to methanisation (criteria related to citizen, to a follow-up committee, to providers, buyers or associated, to a right of veto about inputs), agricultural criteria (related to breeding, to the compatibility with the Biological Agriculture label, to the crop type, to digestate and fertilisation), environmental criteria (covering of digestate storage pits, of periodic control of the installation, of gas valorisation on the storage, of material procurement radius, of methane emission, of engine in the case of co-generation, of impact study for some units, of local opposition, of dialogue, of pollution prevention), and energy criteria (energy valorisation, valorisation rate between bio-methane and bio-NGV, of energy demand management, and of heat valorisation).
