Selected cases of internal contamination after unusual occurrences and from routine personnel monitoring

Description
Seven cases of internal contamination are briefly described. Five of them were caused by unusual occurrences in nuclear medicine (90Sr), in industrial radiography (142Ir), in the production of labelled compounds (CH385Br), in the handling of radioactive wastes, and in well logging (137Cs). The residual two cases were detected by routine personnel monitoring. They were related to 131I application in nuclear medicine and to the production of radioisotopes
