Tissue distribution of injected plutonium in iron-deficient mice

Description

When killed 6 days after injection, iron-deficient mice to whom 239Pu citrate was administered intraperitoneally had body burdens approximately two-fold greater than did iron-replete mice. With the exception of the liver, all soft tissues, including testis, of the iron-deficient mice had a greater plutonium concentration than those of the control mice. (U.S.)
