Superconductivity in monocrystals of nonperovskite type cuprate Ba2Cu3O6-χ
Description
Monocrystals of the new nonperovskite type superconducting phase (sp. gr. Pccm, a = 13.065, b = 20.654, c = 11.431 A) are obtained through the method of spontaneous crystallization from the melt solution. Superconducting properties of crystals are studied through the method of modulated microwave absorption. The temperatures of superconducting transitions are 5 K, 7 K and 13 K. Superconductivity in the Ba2Cu3O6-χ crystals is related to availability of CuO2 chains in the structures under study
