Mass-spectrometric identification of the paramagnetic component of a molecular beam. The focusing of radicals
- 1. Institute of Chemical Physics, Academy of Sciences of the USSR, 117334, Moscow, V-334
Description
The technique of identification of a paramagnetic component of the molecular beam in an inhomogeneous magnetic field is used for investigation of elementary chemical reactions. The focusing of a halogen atom beam as a function of the magnetic field strength is determined. A detailed mechanism of reaction F+CF3I→IF+CF3 is proposed. The dependence of the focusing of CF3 and CH3 radicals obtained in chemical reactions on the field strength is discussed.
