Description

A flexible four-detector device for a conventional two-axis diffractometer is described. The four detectors can be positioned independently from each other in a horizontal diffraction plane. This system can be operated in three different modes of measurements: (1) fast recording of a powder pattern. (2) recording of a powder pattern with improved statistics and (3) simultaneous measurement of the intensity behaviour of four distinguished reflections. Added flexibility of the system is obtained by an extra one-detector device with the possibility to lift the detector up to 300 out of the horizontal diffraction plane. (Auth.)
