Description
Completion has been made of an NBI prototype unit that correctly simulates one of the 14 units of the neutral beam injectors expected to be used for JT-60 (critical plasma testing equipment) in Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute. With a power supply system ranking among the highest in the world in capacity, i.e., 100 kV, 80 A and 10 seconds, this unit is now on the way of incidence tests. An outline and specific features of the power supply system are represented here. (author)
