An experimental investigation of the reflooding of a bare tubular test section

Description

An experimental loop was constructed to conduct tests designed to provide information on the thermal and hydraulic response of a hot circular tube undergoing reflooding. Analysis of the data from these tests provides valuable understanding of the complex thermal-hydraulic phenomena taking place during the reflooding phase of the LOCA in Light Water Reactors and is useful for improving the analytical models used to predict the response of the core
