Design parameters of a storage ring - stretcher for the KhFTI AN USSR 2000 MeV electron linac

Description

One of nearest stages of modernization of the 2 GeV Kharkov electron linac is associated with the increase of pulsed beam current up to 100 mA, energy dispersion monochromatization up to +-0.15% and obtaining emittance up to 10sup(-7) mrad, improvement of the beam duty factor. Construction of a storage stretcherring (SSR) at the outlet of the accelerator is suggested for this purpose. Basic parameters of 0.5-2 GeV SSR with the orbit parth equal to 141.16 m are given. Results of simulation of slow beam extraction from the SSR are presented
