Effectiveness of concomitant radiotherapy of patient with corpus uteri cancer

Description
An analysis of the results of concomitant radiation treatment of 153 cases of cancer of the corpus uteri was performed. The five-year survival rate was 65.1%. Stage, histologic pattern of tumor, patient's age and intracavitary radiation technique appeared to be factors of treatment efficacy. Application of 60Co spherical radioactivity sources was followed by a significantly higher 5-year survival than that of linear ones
