Utilization of a full-scope simulation for training the operating personel of nuclear power plants

Description
A full-scope simulator of the Angra-2 Nuclear Power Plant has been installed at the NUCLEBRAS Training Center in Mambucaba - close to the site where that Plant is being built -, the goal of providing training for the operating personnel of the KWU-design nuclear power plants to be installed in Brazil. Due to the delays which occurred in the construction of Angra-2, NUCLEBRAS has established an extensive program for the utilization of the simulator for the training of operators for German nuclear power plants and for Spain's Trillo Plant. Besides yielding profits to NUCLEBRAS, that program is resulting in considerable experience in the area of nuclear power plant operators' training generating international recognition to the NUCLEBRAS Training Center. Um simulador da Central Nuclear de Angra-2 foi instalado no Centro de Treinamento da NUCLEBRAS em Mambucaba - proxima ao local em que aquela central esta sendo construida -, com objetivo de prover treinamento para operadores das centrais nucleares de fabricacao da KWU a serem instaladas no Brasil. Com os atrasos ocorridos na construcao de Angra-2, a NUCLEBRAS desenvolveu um intenso programa de utilizacao do simulador para treinamento de operadores de centrais nucleares alemaes e da central espanhola de Trillo. Tal programa, alem de gerar receita em divisas para a NUCLEBRAS, vem resultando na aquisicao de consideravel experiencia na area de treinamento de operadores de centrais nucleares e atribuindo expressao internacional ao Centro de Treinamento da NUCLEBRAS.
