Effect of radioactive waste depositories on hydrosphere
Description
Safety criteria are discussed for the selection of a locality for regional depositories of radioactive wastes from nuclear power plants in Czechoslovakia. The design is described and an analysis made of the radioactive safety for depositories in the Dukovany and Mochovce localities. Analyses show that depositories provided with the proposed system of protective barriers are sufficiently safe, namely as concerns the contamination of the hydrosphere. (B.S.). 2 tabs., 3 refs
