Final report on the research project no. 6237/CF IAEA-KFA Juelich chemical sputtering and radiation-enhanced sublimation of fusion reactor materials
Description
The work reported on here was performed using the ion beam experiments and in-situ experiments in the TEXTOR tokamak. The adequacy of the results in connection with modelling of erosion are discussed. In particular, comments are made with regard to (i) chemical erosion of carbon-based materials under energetic oxygen beam irradiation, (ii) chemical erosion of carbon-based materials in the plasma edge of TEXTOR, (iii) active control of erosion and deposition on limiters and divertors, and (iv) radiation-enhanced sublimation. 15 refs
