The ALICE PHOS calorimeter

Description

The ALICE PHOton Spectrometer (PHOS) is designed to detect photons in nucleus-nucleus collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The basic design and the measured performance with the first constructed module are shown. The installation schedule and the future construction plan are reported.
