The Rb/Sr systematic in granitoid rocks: interpretative considerations, limitations and Brazilian examples
Description
The Rb/Sr systematic in granitoid rocks is presented. Their applications and limitations for interpreting data, which include Rb/Sr isochronic ages and initial ratios of granitoid rocks are analysed. The Rb/Sr isochronic allow to analyse the petrogenetic process. The 87Sr/86Sr isochronic initial ratios reflect the Sr evolution stage in source materials, indicating the potential contribution of oceanic mantle or crustal and continental coast segments. The data obtained from Brazilian granitoid massifs are discussed. (M.C.K.)

Apresenta-se a sistematica Rb/Sr em rochas granitoides. Analisam-se suas aplicacoes e limitacoes na interpretacao de dados que incluam idades isocronicas Rb/Sr e dados de razoes iniciais em rochas granitoides. As idades isocronicas Rb/Sr permitem analisar o processo petrogenetico. As razoes iniciais isocronicas 87Sr/86Sr refletem o grau de evolucao do Sr nos materiais fontes indicando a contribuicao potencial do manto ou da crosta oceanicos e os segmentos da costa continental. Discutem-se os dados obtidos de granitoides de massivos brasileiros. (M.C.K.)Additional details
