On quantization of a relativistic string
Description
Various approaches to the relativistic string quantization have been compared and criticized. It is shown, that Rohrlich's noncanonical algebras may be obtained by means of Dirac approach to the quantization of the constrained systems. Special change of the variables allows one to construct the operator realization of these algebras and to prove the equivalence of the quantization with the help of noncanonical algebras to the covariant quantization method
