Methodology development for complex shielding analysis

The present work describes a method to verify shielding complex or very thick. The method of experimental checking and theoretical calculations of shielding using radioactive sources of known intensity with an appropriate detector have very limited application when the shielding structure is complex or it's thickness is such that the backscattering and build-up make the measurements very difficult or altogether impossible. The present method has successfully overcome this problems, and allowed the verification of different components for the Argentine Project A.S.E.C.Q. (author)
