Rapid method for determination of tritium content in tritium targets
Description
A possibility of determining the tritium content in tritium targets by recording the bremsstrahlung of β-particles emitted by tritium has been experimentally investigated. The bremsstrahlung has been recorded by a silicon-lithium detector with a beryllium window of 0.1 mm thick. Emission spectra of more than 100 tritium targets with different adsorbing materials and substrates have been studied. The results of investigations prove the suitability of the discussed technique for determining the tritium content in tritium targets. A conclusion has been drawn that this method can be used to control the process of production of tritium targets or sources
