Is the resonance interpretation for σ (γ γ -> rho0 rho0) ruled out by the data for rho+ rho- production
Description
It is shown that the observed cross-sections for the γ γ -> rho0 rho0 and γ γ -> rho+ rho- reactions near threshold can be explained by taking into account the effects not only of a resonance with I=0, but also of interference between the resonant amplitude and the nonresonant amplitude for the I=2 state
