Application of the Green function of the Dirac equation to the investigation of relativistic and correlation effects in multicharged ions

  • 1. Voronezhskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)

Description

Application of the Coulomb Green function of the Dirac equation for calculation of relativistic and correlation effects in multicharged ions is discussed. The Green function method is used to the calculation of interaction effects of the H-ion with electromagnetic field: Stark effect, Zeeman effect, interaction with a heterogeneous field and hyperfine structure of hydrogen atom levels. The Green function method application to investigation of the Stark effect for the He-like ion ground state to calculation of radiative decay probability of the He-like ion 23S1 state and correlation corrections to the multicharged ions energy is considered as well. The conclusion is drawn on the Coulomb Green function applicability to calculation of relativitic and correlation effects in multicharged ions
