Intensities of LaO(B2Σ - X2Σ) bands : interpretation using the Rydberg-Klein-Rees potential
Description
Adopting the Rydberg-Klein-Rees (RKR) potential model for the B2Σ and X2Σ states of LaO, the Franck-Condon factors and the r-centroids have been calculated for the (B → X) transition. The electronic transition moment Rsub(e) (r) has been studied and the relative band strengths have been obtained. Incorporating the form of Rsub(e) (r) the effective vibrational temperature of the source is derived. (author)
