Some analytical properties of the trapped-ion transport equations of Kadomtsev and Pogutse
Description
In support of numerical computations of anomalous diffusion caused by the dissipative trapped-ion instability, several simple analytical properties and solutions of the trapped-ion transport equations of KADOMTSEV and POGUTSE are derived. The scaling of the anomalous diffusion coefficient is investigated by dimensional analysis, and a relation between the electric potential in the plasma and the anomalous diffusion flux is established. Zur Untermauerung zahlenmaessiger Berechnungen der durch die Absorptionsinstabilitaet eingefangener Ionen verursachten anomalen Diffusion werden verschiedene einfache analytische Eigenschaften und Loesungen der Gleichungen von KADOMTSEV und POGUTSE fuer den Transport eingefangener Ionen hergeleitet. Die Groessenordnung des Koeffizienten der anomalen Diffusion wird durch Dimensionsanalyse untersucht und eine Beziehung zwischen dem elektrischen Potential im Plasma und dem anomalen Diffusionsfluss wird hergestellt.
