Description

The global objectives of this project are threefolds. The stimulation of collaborative developments and research into methods and techniques for the evaluation of exposures to and risks from ionizing radiations. The harmonization of methods of assessing and researching radiation exposures by means of intercomparisons, workshops, seminars and by active collaboration. The collection and evaluation of physical data relevant to the assessment of the biological effects of ionizing radiations and to the assessment of occupational and environmental exposures. The society operates through Working Groups each composed of 10 to 15 scientists from European laboratories. (R.P.) 35 refs
